Gel Cap Keypad

In an effort to improve an existing design, TRW contracted Stone Mountain Design to reverse engineer a keypad from a Sony, Inc. cellular phone so that it could be replaced with TRW’s innovation. TRW wanted to demonstrate the improvement that their new gel cap keypad would offer over Sony’s existing design. Stone Mountain Design performed a CMM analysis of Sony’s existing hardware to execute our reverse engineering, which was followed by our 3D solid models and a prototype keypad proof of concept.
